MSOE men's tennis downs Aurora and Rockford

The Raiders extended their winning streak to five as they beat Aurora 8-1 Friday night and Rockford 9-0 Saturday. Both duals took place in Rockford, Ill. Junior Mark Schadler and freshman Eric Klamrowski shut out their opponents in singles competition against the Spartans. Also winning in singles against Aurora were junior Juan Montenegro, senior Dustin Holzhauer and sophomore Jeff Scarpelli. In doubles action, Montenegro and sophomore Nicholas Matsuura won at the No. 1 spot while Scarpelli and Holzhauer teamed up to win at No. 2 and Klamrowski and Schadler shut out their opposition at No. 3.
In the dual against the Regents, Klamrowski won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles while Montenegro, Holzhauer, Schadler, Scarpelli and Matsuura also won in singles competition. Klamrowski is now 8-0 in conference action in singles. The Raiders took all matches in doubles as well. MSOE (7-8, 7-1 NAC) will face Wisconsin Lutheran in New Berlin, Wis. Wednesday at 4 p.m.
