Dieringer named to Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

MILWAUKEE -- MSOE women's track and field junior Emily Dieringer (Saukville, Wis./Port Washington) was named to the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District Second Team for District 5 in the College Division. Dieringer is a biomedical engineering major with a 3.91 GPA.
Athletically, Dieringer is one of MSOE's brightest stars. At the 2011 Northern Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, she took the top spot in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.11 and also won the 100-meter hurdles at 15.90 seconds. Dieringer was second in the pole vault at 2.90 meters. While competing in the 2011 NAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships, she won both the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.02 seconds and the 55-meter hurdles event at 8.89 seconds. Dieringer also placed second in the pole vault with a mark of 2.9 meters.
The team is selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the track and in the classroom. The College Division includes all colleges and universities that are NCAA Division II, Division III or NAIA institutions.
