Diederich picks up win at Tadd Metzger Invitational


The MSOE indoor track & field team took part in the Tadd Metzger Invitational in Kenosha, Wis. Friday. The men's squad took ninth out of 16 teams while the women's team was 14th. Junior Kevin Diederich won the 55-meter hurdles event with a time of 7.81 seconds. Freshman Matt Waech came in fifth in the 200-meter dash with a mark of 23.46 seconds and tied for seventh in the pole vault at 3.65 meters.

Senior Cameron Rate was fifth in the 5000-meter run (16:27.96). Junior Arthur Weborg tied for sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 13.39 meters. Sophomore Ben Peterson placed eighth in the 600-meter run at 1:29.18.

On the women's side, junior Emily Dieringer placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.35 seconds. Also, Dieringer finished seventh in the pole vault at 3.04 meters. Sophomore Anete Zagare was ninth in the 1000-meter run at 3:24.04.

The Raiders will compete in Stevens Point, Wis. next weekend.
