MSOE softball falls in opening games to St. John Fisher

The Raiders opened their season Sunday in the Tucson Invitational in Arizona against St. John Fisher and dropped both games of a doubleheader. Sophomore Julie Windish went 3-4 in Game 1 then was 3-3 in the second game.
Also in the first game, juniors Jessica Iversen and Elise Pinkerton each had two hits. Iversen struck out five in six innings of work. In the second game, sophomores Rebecca Gardner and Samantha Herold and freshman Alyssa Brueser each recorded two hits.
MSOE (0-2) faces RIT and Wartburg Monday in the Tucson Invitational.
