Martin records 18 kills in loss to Missouri Baptist


The MSOE men's volleyball got 18 kills from junior Max Martin but fell to Missouri Baptist in five games Friday night at the Kern Center in Milwaukee. Martin hit .351 on the night and had three service aces, three blocks and four digs. MSOE won the first game 25-22 and took the fourth game 25-22.

Freshman setter Josh Avery recored 32 assists for the Raiders. Sophomore libero John Cote led MSOE with seven digs. Senior Chris Reininger hit .462 in the match with six kills. Sophomore Jack Geary led the Raiders with eight blocks.

MSOE (0-4) will head north to play crosstown foe Cardinal Stritch at 4 p.m. Saturday.
