MSOE Athletic Hall of Fame
A starter in every game for
four seasons, Jeff Stoxen made a big impact on Raiders soccer. Stoxen exploded
onto the field with a stellar freshman season, being selected as Lake Michigan
Conference Newcomer of the Year and MSOE Rookie of the Year. A forward and
dominating goal scorer, that year Stoxen began his four consecutive season
reign as MSOE's Leading Scorer, was the LMC Leading Scorer his sophomore and
junior seasons and became an MSOE All-Time Leading Scorer by the end of his
career.
A highly motivated player, Stoxen continued to sharpen
his game with experience. He was named All-Conference all four seasons,
All-Midwest during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons, and as a junior
the conference granted him the exceptional honor of All-State First Team and
LMC Player of the Week as well as LMC Player of the Year. Stoxen led by
positive example, and his team recognized him as MVP in his sophomore, junior
and senior seasons and selected him team captain his senior year. Stoxen's
outstanding accomplishments were main factors in the success of MSOE's soccer
program in the late 1990s.
