MSOE Athletic Hall of Fame
Josh Nickols' motivational leadership, skill and
achievements established him as a dominant force in NCAA Division III ice
hockey. A consummate offensive player, Nickols holds the rank of MSOE's
all-time leading scorer with 89 goals, 100 assists and 182 points and was
ranked as the leader in the nation in assists per game his senior season. That
same season, his team selected him as captain, recognizing his strong work
ethic and commitment to the game.
Nickols' expertise on the ice and hard work earned him the
honor of 1st Team All-Conference for four consecutive seasons. He was also named Team Offensive Player of
the Year his sophomore year, league MVP as a junior and team MVP in his
freshman, junior and senior seasons.
As an assistant hockey coach for MSOE, Nickols
continues to demonstrate the leadership and dedication he exhibited as a
college player, helping to lead the Raiders to a regular season championship
and MCHA Harris Cup championship victories in 2004-05.
