Mindi Eineichner-Rvedcner ’98

MSOE Athletic Hall of Fame

A four-year letter-winner in softball and a three-year letter-winner in volleyball, Mindi Eineichner-Newman made remarkable achievements as a scholar and athlete during her time as an MSOE Raider.

A softball shortstop, Eineichner was recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as First-Team All-Region her senior year and selected All-Conference for three seasons by the Lake Michigan Conference. Eineichner helped her team win two conference championships her junior and senior seasons. Also an excellent student with plans to attend graduate school, Eineichner received a postgraduate scholarship from the NCAA, an exceptional accomplishment by itself, but she also remains the first and only MSOE athlete to date to receive this prestigious award.

After college, Eineichner took her skill and enthusiasm for the game that she developed at MSOE to Europe, where she had the incredible experience of playing for the USA International Softball team. Eineichner's strong skill and athletic and academic achievements are standards current MSOE athletes model.
