MSOE Athletic Hall of Fame
Sarah McGuire was as talented an athlete as she was
adaptable, excelling in softball, volleyball and basketball during her four
years at MSOE. With speed and power, McGuire pitched a career three
no-hitters, ensuring victory for her team. McGuire was selected as her
softball team's MVP, honored as LMC All-Conference for four consecutive
seasons and named LMC Player of the Year her junior and senior seasons. As a
volleyball player, McGuire earned an Honorable Mention All-Conference her
sophomore year.
McGuire set the precedent in both athletics and academics. Her outstanding performance in these fields was recognized for an impressive four seasons with Academic-Athlete selections in basketball and softball. McGuire also acted as team captain in volleyball during her junior year and in basketball and softball during her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Clearly a leader and an expert competitor, McGuire represented the model of a winning MSOE athlete.
