Head Coach Jimmy Banks

Head Coach Jimmy BanksJimmy Banks took the helm of the MSOE soccer program in 1999. As the Raiders head coach in 2002, he was the recipient of the Lake Michigan Conference Co-Coach of the Year award.

Banks is one of the most talented soccer players to come out of Milwaukee. In 1981, Banks was an All-American forward at Custer High School. While at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Jimmy Banks was an All-American selection in 1985 and 1986. Banks later went on to play on the 1990 U.S. World Cup team and continued his soccer career by playing professional soccer for the Milwaukee Wave. In 2002, he was among the honorees in the "Decade of U.S. Soccer" celebration held in the nation's capitol.

Believing in community, Banks has given back to Milwaukee by developing urban youth soccer programs. He holds a USSF-A coaching license and has a degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he is a member of the athletic hall of fame.

Banks is currently the Director of Coaching for the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club and serves MSOE as the Director of Intramurals and Club Sports. Banks resides in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
