Coaches

Head Coach Rolf Zersen
Rolf ZersenRolf Zersen is in his seventh season as head coach of the MSOE women's soccer program. No stranger to MSOE, Zersen served as the men's assistant coach from 2001-2004.

The former assistant coach of Concordia University Texas, Zersen formerly played competitive soccer with the Milwaukee Bavarians. As a collegiate player at Concordia-Wisconsin, Zersen was a three-year starter, captain and an All-Lake Michigan Conference selection as a senior. He was coach by MSOE Athletic Director Dan Harris at Concordia.

Zersen has a bachelor's degree in history from Concordia University-Wisconsin and is the head of the history department at Milwaukee Lutheran High School. Zersen's coaching experience includes serving as head coach of the girl's soccer team at Milwaukee Lutheran and the boy's junior varsity program at Germantown High School.

Rolf and his wife Leslie have two children, Olivia and Aiden.

Assistant Coach Adam Frey

Adam Frey is in his first season with the MSOE coaching staff. Frey's coaching experience includes time at Palmyra-Eagle High School and East Troy High School. While an assistant coach for the Palmyra-Eagle varsity girls' soccer team, his squad qualified for state in 2008 and was the sectional runner-up in 2009. He received a national diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in 2007. Frey minored in coaching at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where he earned his degree in physical education. Frey played four years of soccer at Sauk Prairie High School.

Assistant Coach Michelle Lizotte
Michelle Lizotte joined the MSOE Women's Soccer program as the assistant coach in 2008. She brings enthusiasm and a player's point of view to the coaching staff. A two-time All-WIAC first team selection. During her senior season at UW-Stout, she was named most valuable player of her team. Lizotte played soccer at Racine Horlick high school before attending UW-Stout.
