Head Coach Jimmy Banks

Jimmy BanksJimmy Banks took the helm of the MSOE soccer program in 1999. Last season, Banks was named Northern Athletics Conference coach of the year. He was also named coach of the year twice when MSOE was a member of the Lake Michigan Conference.

Banks is one of the most talented soccer players to come out of Milwaukee. In 1981, He was an All-American forward at Custer High School. While at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Banks was a National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) NAIA All-American selection in 1983. After transferring to UW-Milwaukee, He was an NSCAA All-Midwest Region selection in 1985 and 1986. Banks later went on to play on the 1990 U.S. World Cup team where he started two games as a defender and continued his soccer career by playing for the Milwaukee Wave. In 2002, he was among the honorees in the "Decade of U.S. Soccer" celebration held in the nation's capitol. Banks is an inducted member of Custer High School and Wisconsin Soccer Association's Hall of Fame.

Believing in community, Banks has given back to Milwaukee by developing urban youth soccer programs. He holds a USSF-A coaching license and has a degree in education from the UW-Milwaukee, where he is a member of the Athletic Hall of fame. Banks serves as MSOE's Director of Intramurals and Club Sports. He resides in Milwaukee.

Demetrius BanksAssistant Coach Demetrius Banks
Demetrius Banks is in his second year as an MSOE assistant coach. Banks also serves as the coach for New Berlin Soccer Club, and has served as an assistant coach for Milwaukee Area Technical College, Simba Soccer Club and the (Wisconsin) Olympic Developmental Program.

Banks also manages many local soccer camps including Tyme Out, MK Soccer Camp and World Cup Soccer Camp. He is the director of the Milwaukee Soccer Camps and also serves as the assistant director of the Journey House Soccer League.

As a collegiate player, Banks played one season at MSOE where he was an all-conference and an all-region selection and also played one season at UW-Milwaukee. He has also played on numerous state championship club Teams including the Bavarians and FC Milwaukee. Currently, Banks is completing his degree at UW-Milwaukee.
