Head Coach Brian Miller
Brian Miller returns for his seventh season at the helm for MSOE and looks to continue his unprecedented success. Under Miller's tutelage, MSOE has recorded the three best records in school history going 50-30 over that span a remarkable 62% winning percentage. Miller became the first MSOE men's basketball head coach with previous experience as a collegiate head coach, a measure of the program's escalation.
Prior to his career at Concordia-Illinois (1999-2004), Miller also garnered experience coaching in the Lake Michigan Conference while at Lakeland College from 1994-99. He helped lead the Muskies to a regular-season conference championship and two tournament championships during his tenure, including the 1993-94 season when his team advanced to the NAIA Nationals.
Miller will also bring a wealth of experience to the athletic department off the court, serving in his dual role as the associate athletic director. He worked as the associate athletic director aside from his coaching post at Concordia-River Forest. He also served as the president of the Northern Illinois and Iowa Conference in 2003-04. Miller received his Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and his master's degree at Lakeland College. He spent four years teaching social studies and coaching at Loyal High School in Wisconsin before working as an admissions counselor at Lakeland from 1992-94.
Assistant Coach Kevin King
Kevin King has been with the MSOE basketball program for 14 years as an assistant coach. He played four years as an MSOE Raider, serving as captain in his senior year. He is the head coach of the MSOE junior varsity program. Currently, King is employed by Silgan Containers in Oconomowoc and is married to Angie Schwebke-King, former MSOE athlete and Hall of Fame inductee.
Assistant Coach Davinci Wallace
Davinci Wallace will begin his 11th year on the MSOE coaching staff. Wallace, a 2000 UW-Milwaukee graduate, began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Racine Prairie High School before joining the MSOE men's basketball program. He currently works as an admission counselor at MSOE.
Assistant Coach Tyrone Deacon
Tyrone Deacon is in first season as a member of the MSOE coaching staff. Deacon was the head boys' basketball coach at Burlington Catholic Central High School during 2008-2009 when the team had a record of 15-9. He graduated from UW-Parkside with a degree in business management. Deacon played four seasons for the Rangers and is eighth all-time at UW-Parkside in scoring and second all-time in assists and three-point field goals. Deacon currently resides in Burlington, Wis., and works for FHG Inc., a small economic development company. He is the brother of MSOE senior guard Bennett Deacon.
