Head Coach Chuck Stollenwerk

Chuck Stollenwerk has an extensive background in both coaching and rowing. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, where he rowed from 1988-1993, Stollenwerk went on to be one of the team's novice men's assistant coaches from 1993-1996. While coaching at the University of Wisconsin, he also coached junior boys and girls at the Mendota Rowing Club in Madison, Wisconsin. The Wisconsin and Mendota crews achieved success at the national level.

From 1996-1998, Stollenwerk coached the varsity men and women at Marquette University. His rowers at Marquette showed marked improvement under Stollenwerk and their achievements still hold today as many of the fastest crews in their history.

He then moved to Austin, Texas where he coached the junior boys at Austin Rowing Club for two years (2003-2004). The boys were ranked fourth and fifth nationally in the Junior Quad competition. Stollenwerk also served as head men's novice coach for the University of Texas Crew from 2003-2005 and again during the 2008 season. Under his tutelage, some of the athletes went on to leave their mark as the most successful athletes in the program's history.

Stollenwerk went on to become the head coach at the Texas Rowing Center (TRC) from 2004-2008. His duties included coaching up to six organized and competitive crews. He also assisted students at St. Edward's University to create a men's and women's club rowing program. Stollenwerk served as the head coach for St. Edward's from 2006-2009. Each year, both TRC and St. Edwards's programs grew larger and more successful.

Throughout the years, Stollenwerk has also continued to row competitively. He resides in Milwaukee with his wife Marita and his daughter Vonne.

Students interested in participating in men's rowing may contact Coach Chuck Stollenwerk via e-mail or fill out the online questionnaire.
