Men's Volleyball defeats #5 MIT

In the first match at the Fontbonne Invitational, the MSOE Raiders men’s volleyball team upset the fifth ranked MIT Beavers by the scores of 21-25, 25-21, 25-23, and 25-21. This is the second victory against MIT for the Raiders in teh school's history, the last time being their last meeting in 2010 at the MIT Invitational.
Max Martin led the Raiders with 16 kills for the match. Middle hitter Jack Geary led MSOE with a .500 hitting percentage (10-0-20) and added two solo blocks and three block assists. sophomore setter Matt Morrone had 41 assists and six digs. Libero John Cote had 18 digs in the match.
The Raiders are 9-7 overall and 2-2 in the Continental Volleyball Conference West Division.
