Axt scores seven times for MSOE as Raiders take out Regents

Senior Jessica Axt recorded seven goals in MSOE women soccer's 17-0 victory against Rockford Saturday in Milwaukee at Time Warner Cable Stadium. Senior Jamie Janczak scored twice and logged five assists. Axt now has 62 goals in her career which extends the school record she already held.
Janczak started the scoring at the 6:23 mark of the game. Next was sophomore Paula Bohl then five straights goals from Axt. Janczak picked up her second goal a few minutes before half time. Axt started the second half with two more goals.
Bohl scored again in the 57th minute. After that, five different players scored for the Raiders. Those goals were picked up by seniors Mary Roath and Karina Weideman, sophomores Maureen Thompson and Jenna Harvestine and freshman Gabbie Pung. The scoring for MSOE was completed by Pung who found the back of the net for the second time. Pung and freshman Shelby Struble each had two assists.
In net, junior Emma Lumpe and freshman Emily Jakubiak each played a half for the Raiders. MSOE (4-4-0. 2-1-0 NAC) plays at Concordia-Wisconsin Wednesday at 4 p.m.
