No. 15 MSOE advances to Harris Cup Four

The Raiders defeated Lake Forest 1-0 in the mini-game of the MCHA Quarterfinal series at the Kern Center Sunday afternoon in Milwaukee. The Foresters defeated MSOE 2-0 earlier in the day to force the mini-game. The Raiders will now face Marian in the MCHA Harris Cup Four Friday in Adrian, Mich.
Junior forward Austin Grosvenor scored at the 15:34 mark of the mini-game to put the Raiders on top for good. MSOE out-shot Lake Forest 14-9 in the 20-minute game. It appeared that the Foresters tied the game with 6.8 seconds left but the goal was waved off because it was kicked into the net.
In the Foresters' victory, Andrew Stein and Pat Charron logged the team's goals. Brendan Sullivan made 39 saves to log his fourth shutout of the season. It was the first time this season that MSOE was shut out in conference action.
