Wauwatosa, Wis. – The MSOE Raiders women’s soccer team battled back, but was unable to get a result in a 1-2 overtime loss to the Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors at Hart Park field. In the 77th minute Paula Bohl (Muskego, Wis. / Muskego H.S.) scored an equalizer, assisted by Kate Hermann (Sycamore, Ill. / Sycamore), sending the game to overtime. The goal was Bohl’s eighth of the season. In the 105th minute the Warriors settled the tie with an unassisted goal by Maggie Smith.
Coach Rolf Zersen knows the team has more to give. “We battled back and tied the game today, but could not pull off the win. We are all disappointed. We did not play up to our potential and need to bounce back tomorrow.”
Next up for the Raiders is Illinois Wesleyan today, September 30th, at 4:00 pm in Bloomington Illinois.
