It was one of those days;  when everything goes right, but then right is just not enough.  The MSOE Men's Track and Field team battled all day with St. Norbert College, but in the end St. Norbert won the war by one point.

With  less than desireable conditions, MSOE did all it could to try and take the meet. Matt Waech, a junior, took first place in the pole vault with a height of 4.27 meters.  Nate Verdun and Jerome Rhodes, took 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Men's High Jump (1.9m and 1.85m).  Joe Buichl, freshmen, took 3rd in the 110 Meter Hurdles (15.71) and 1st in the Men's 400 Meter Hurdles (57.01).  Jake Schneider took 3rd in the Men's 5000 Meter Run (15:55.99).  In the 4x400, MSOE took 3rd place just behind St. Norberts and Carrol College.  Ben Miller finished strong in the Men's 10,000 Meter Run (33.10.32), but it was just not enough and MSOE was edged by the Green Knights by one point.

Amanda Heller put in a strong effort in the 1500 Meter by placing 2nd (5:21.15) and Kate Herrmann took 4th in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase (12:34.11) on the women's side.
