MSOE women's basketball takes Red Rivalry Cup

Senior center Carol Cayo scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Raiders beat Alverno 69-57 Saturday night at the Kern Center. MSOE takes the Red Rivalry Cup for the first time. Last season was the first time the two teams battled for the trophy.
Sophomore forward Shannon Larson had 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Senior guard Kathleen Collingbourne put in eight points and had five rebounds. The Raiders had 47 rebounds compared to 33 for the Inferno.
MSOE (11-5, 8-2 NAC) heads to River Forest, Ill. Tuesday to face Dominican at 7 p.m.
