MSOE men's soccer improves to 3-0 in NAC

The Raiders erased a first half deficit to knock off Marian 4-2 Wednesday night in Fond du Lac, Wis. Four different players scored for MSOE who have now won their first three Northern Athletics Conference games this season.
Senior Michael Vanek scored a goal from about 15 yards out to give the Raiders a 1-0 lead. Vanek was set up by senior Dan Hosko at the 6:54 mark of the game. After back-to-back goals from the Sabres, sophomore Mariano Suaso-Rodriguez found the back of the net from inside the six-yard box a few minutes before halftime. That goal was assisted by Vanek.
Sophomore Patrick Gathof gave the Raiders the lead for good when he blasted a shot into the upper right of the goal. Hosko also set up that score which came in the 59th minute. MSOE finished the scoring when Hosko picked up an unassisted goal at the 80:09 mark. The Raiders (5-4-1, 3-0-0 NAC) out shot Marian 23-9 on the night.
MSOE heads across town to face Wisconsin Lutheran Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Milwaukee.
