MSOE men's soccer remains undefeated in NAC with OT win over Aurora


Sophomore Patrick Gathof scored in the third minute of overtime as the Raiders beat Aurora 3-2 Saturday afternoon at Time Warner Cable Stadium in Milwaukee. MSOE is now 6-0 in Northern Athletics Conference action.

After trailing 1-0 at halftime against the Spartans, senior Michael Vanek tied the score at 1 on a goal that was set up by senior Dan Hosko. Aurora took the lead but the Radiers were able to tie the score less than a minute later at the 51:26 mark of the match when Hosko found the back of the net.

The game remained tied after 90 minutes of action. Gathof won it for MSOE in the 93rd minute. The game-winning goal was assisted by junior Drew Porter. Freshman Garrett Farin made four saves to earn the victory.

The Raiders (8-4-1, 6-0-0 NAC) face Edgewood at home this Tuesday at 7 p.m.
