MSOE women's basketball falls in NAC contest at Lakeland

Senior guard Marguerite Wellstein put in 17 points while senior Carol Cayo had 16 points but the Raiders fell to Lakeland 86-69 Saturday afternoon in Sheboygan, Wis. Cayo pulled down seven rebounds while Wellstein grabbed six rebounds in the Northern Athletics Conference contest. Wellstein went 4-6 from three-point range.
MSOE could not pull the game within single digits in the second half as the Muskies went 27-30 from the free throw line on the day. Senior guard Kathleen Collingbourne and junior forward Cate Scholfield both had nine points and six rebounds.
The Raiders (12-6, 9-3 NAC) host Benedictine Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Milwaukee.
