Raiders garner two wins at Finlandia Invitational

The MSOE women's volleyball team took part in the Finlandia Invitational this weekend and defeated Northland Friday and Finlandia Saturday. The Raiders dropped two matches against St. Norbert.
In the victory over the Lumberjacks, senior Kaylie Lenz and junior Julie Windish each recorded eight kills while Lenz also ended up with four blocks. Senior Kathleen Collingbourne had 16 digs while freshman Ali LoBue logged 14 digs. MSOE won the match in three sets (25-16, 25-18, 30-28). Senior setter Kassey Hoffmann came up with 25 assists.
Against the Green Knights Friday, Collingbourne led the Raiders with 16 digs. In the second match with St. Norbert which was Saturday, Windish recorded ten kills and seven digs while Collingbourne had 22 digs.
LoBue and Windish led the way in the three-set (25-17, 25-16, 25-16) victory over the Lions as LoBue logged 13 kills (.370) and Windish had a double-double with ten kills (.364) and 12 digs. Hoffmann dished out 30 assists in two sets while Collingbourne came up with 11 digs.
MSOE (5-8) will host Dominican in a NAC match this Wednesday.
