Lumpe earns NAC honor after two-shutout week

Junior goalkeeper Emma Lumpe was named Northern Athletics Conference Student-Athlete of the Week Monday for women's soccer. Lumpe did not allow a goal in two games for the Raiders during the past week.
Last Wednesday, Lumpe made seven saves against Aurora in MSOE's 1-0 victory at Time Warner Cable Stadium in Milwaukee. Before that game, the Spartans were undefeated in conference action.
In the first round of the NAC Tournament on Sunday in Milwaukee, she recorded four saves against Concordia-Wisconsin in the Raiders' 1-0 victory. Lumpe has six shutouts on the year.
MSOE faces Aurora Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the semifinals of the NAC Tournament.
