No. 10 MSOE hockey edges Marian 3-2 to move to MCHA title game

Sophomore forward Kevin Medina scored at the 15:42 mark of overtime as the No. 12 Raiders beat Marian 3-2 in the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Harris Cup Four Saturday night in Adrian, Mich. MSOE (21-6-1) now faces Adrian Sunday at 1 p.m. for the MCHA title. The winner of that game also receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship which begins next week with the first round.
Freshman forward Josh Keizer put the Raiders up 1-0 at the 3:18 mark of the first period. His goal was assisted by sophomore forward Steven Shaffroth. In the second period, the Sabres scored twice to take the lead.
At the 8:07 mark of the third period, junior forward Mike Pao tied the game with a goal from senior forward Todd Krupa. Then in overtime, it was Medina sealing the win with the assists coming from freshman forward Kevin LoGiudice and sophomore forward Ben Lauder. Senior goalie Connor Toomey made 26 saves for the victory.
