Raiders defeat Aurora for sixth straight victory

Senior center Carol Cayo scored 20 points and freshman Bre'Ana Strong had a career-high 11 points as MSOE women's basketball beat Aurora 64-45 Tuesday night at the Kern Center in Milwaukee. The Raiders have won six games in a row for the first time in school history. MSOE is also 4-0 in Northern Athletics Conference action for the first time.
Cayo also had six rebounds, six assists, four steals and three blocks. Senior guard Marguerite Wellstein also had six assists in the contest. Sophomore forward Shannon Larson put in eight points and had six rebounds.
The Raiders shot 54% from the field in the first half and 50% for the game. MSOE recorded a season-high 16 assists. The Raiders went 16-18 from the free throw line.
MSOE (6-1, 4-0 NAC) heads to Fond du Lac, Wis. to face Marian Saturday at 2 p.m.
