Cording takes weekly NAC honor

Sophomore guard John Cording has been named Northern Athletics Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for men's basketball. Cording helped the Raiders knock off Aurora and Marian in NAC action during the past week.
Cording scored 25 points and went 4-4 from three-point range in MSOE's 72-55 victory against the Spartans last Wednesday at the Kern Center in Milwaukee. It was the first win for the Raiders over Aurora in more than three years.
Saturday, Cording put in a career-high 30 points as MSOE knocked off the Sabres 70-61 in Fond du Lac, Wis. He also had four three-pointers in that contest. Cording, the team's starting point guard, had just one turnover in 60 minutes of action last week.
The Raiders (4-4, 3-1 NAC) face Beloit in non-conference action Tuesday at 7 p.m.
