MSOE women's tennis shuts out Rockford

MSOE picked up their second victory of the season Saturday against Rockford as they beat the Regents 9-0 on the road. Seniors Carol Cayo, Gabby Hendix, Marguerite Wellstein and sophomore Ashley Albrecht each won in straight sets in singles action. Senior Samantha Pekarscik and junior Courtney Grant also picked up victories for the Raiders in singles. In doubles competition, Cayo, Grant, Pekarscik, Hendrix, Wellstein and Albrecht all won in straight sets.
Later in the day Saturday, MSOE was blanked by Edgewood 9-0 in Madison, Wis.
The Raiders (2-2, 2-2 NAC) host Wisconsin Lutheran Wednesday at McKinley Park in Milwaukee.
