No. 14 Raiders tie No. 6 Adrian 3-3

On the road, No. 14 MSOE hockey pulled off a 3-3 tie against 6th ranked Adrian Friday night in MCHA action. The Raiders had the lead with 15 seconds left in regulation before Adrian scored with an extra attacker as the third period came to a close.
MSOE outshot Adrian 4-2 in overtime, 34-32 for the game. The Raiders were penalized seven times for 14 minutes in comparison to the Bulldogs who had eight penalties tallying 24 minutes in the box.
The Raiders took control of the game early with a goal just over nine minutes into the game. Freshman forward Josh Keizer picked up the goal, his eighth of the season, with assists coming from sophomore forward Steve Shaffroth and senior forward Kyle Smith. Adrian followed with a goal of their own at the 14:51 mark of the period as Justin Basso scored his sixth goal of the season with assists from Duston Hebebrand and Shelby Gray.
MSOE started second period scoring as well, landing a goal 6:40 into the period on a 4-on-4 opportunity. Junior foward Jordan Keizer scored his 11th goal of the year, assisted by junior forward Bradley Tierney. Adrian retaliated with a goal at 8:57 on a power play. Ryan Lowe scored off a passes from Jordan Watts and Zach Graham.
In the third period, Tierney put MSOE up with a tally at the 32-second mark from Jordan and Josh Keizer. Adrian's Ryan Gieseler tied the game with 15 seconds left in regulation. Senior goalie Connor Toomey made 28 saves for the Raiders.
MSOE (12-5-1, 9-3-1 MCHA) finishes their Adrian road trip with a Saturday afternoon game. The puck drops at 2 p.m.
