Double-doubles lead Raiders past North Central

Senior center Carol Cayo and sophomore forward Shannon Larson both recorded double-doubles as the MSOE women's basketball team knocked off North Central University 55-44 in the third place game of the Northwestern Tip-Off Tournament in St. Paul, Minn. Cayo was named to the All-Tournament Team for the event.
Cayo scored 17 points and pulled down ten rebounds while Larson logged 13 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Larson had eight offensive rebounds for the Raiders as well as five steals and three assists. Freshman guard Ali LoBue put in nine points and dished out three assists off the bench in 20 minutes of action. On the boards as a team, MSOE had 44 compared to 30 for North Central.
The Raiders (1-1) host Carroll Monday at the Kern Center at 7 p.m.
