At the state private school meet, held at St. Norberts University, both Jerome Rhodes and Brian Main broke the MSOE school record in the high jump. The previous MSOE record was 6'4", until Jerome Rhodes broke that record at an earlier meet. At St. Norberts, Jerome Rhodes (Sophomore, BM ,Chicago, IL), broke that very record that he had just set by jumping a height of 6'6"and 3/4ths. To add to the excitment, Brian Main (Sr, ME, Lamar, MO) then duplicated that jump at the very same meet.
Both Jerome and Brain hope to advance to Nationals by jumping 6'7". A tall feet, but an achievable goal. The next meet is this Saturday, May 4th, at Wisconsin Lutheran College (NAC Conference Meet).
