Marcus Wenzel named MSOE Softball Coach

Dan Harris, Director of Athletics at MSOE announced today the hiring of Marcus Wenzel as the new MSOE Head Softball Coach. Wenzel replaces Jessica Ott who is stepping down to focus on the women’s basketball coaching and administrative responsibilities.
Wenzel is no stranger to the softball diamond, most recently serving as Pulaski high School’s softball coach in 2012. In his six years of coaching at the high school level, he has a career 51-41 record. Wenzel also has experience as a baseball coach, serving as freshman and junior varsity baseball coach from 2004 through 2006.
Harris believes Wenzel is the right fit for the MSOE program:
“Marcus (Wenzel) is a talented young coach with a great background in athletics,” said Harris. I believe he will be a good fit at MSOE and will be able to move the program forward.”
Wenzel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education as well as a Master of Education in Health Education from Carroll College. He received a Masters of Education in School Administration from Louis National University. At Carroll, he lettered three years in varsity football.
