Gaeth receives honorable mention status in d3wrestle.com rankings

Freshman wrestler Luke Gaeth was named as an honorable mention in the most recent d3wrestle.com rankings for the 125-pound weight class. At the North Central College Invitational, Gaeth entered the field unseeded but finished the tournament in third place. He won his first match by fall in 4:08 over Sean Ambrocio of Concordia-Wisconsin. After losing in the quarterfinals to second seed Sean Tomac of North Central, he won his next three matches, including a 4-3 triple overtime victory over Tomac to place third overall.
Earlier in the season, Gaeth placed second at the Knox Invitational after compiling a record of 3-1. At the MSOE Invitational, he took fourth. Gaeth has a 13-6 overall record to date. The Raiders return to the mats December 18 in Fort Meyers, Fla. at the Gulf Duals.
