MSOE women's volleyball downs Aurora in four


Senior Kathleen Collingbourne recorded 14 kills and 27 digs as the Raiders knocked off Aurora in four sets (21-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-20) Wednesday night at the Kern Center in Milwaukee. Collingbourne had a hitting percentage of .262 on the night.

Junior Stephanie Hasler also had a double-double with ten kills and ten digs. Freshman libero Ali LoBue led all players with 32 digs. Freshman setter Martha Savory logged 24 assists and also had nine digs. Senior Kayla Edler was just short of a double-double as she ended up with nine kills and nine digs.

Tuesday night, MSOE defeated Mount Mary in a non-conference match on the road in Milwaukee. The Raiders took the match in four sets as well (25-23, 25-15, 22-25, 25-22). Collingbourne again led the way with 17 kills and 24 digs.

LoBue paced MSOE with 30 digs while Hasler had eight kills to go along with 27 digs. Savory recorded a double-double with 18 assists and 12 digs. Edler had nine kills in the match.

The Raiders (9-16, 2-6 NAC) are off until Tuesday when they travel to Watertown, Wis. to face Maranatha Baptist at 7 p.m.
