Collingbourne, Hasler named NAC Honorable Mention

MILWAUKEE -- Two members of the MSOE women's volleyball team garnered Northern Athletics Conference honors for their performances during the 2010 season. Junior outside hitter Kathleen Collingbourne (East Dundee, Ill./Dundee-Crown) and sophomore outside hitter Stephanie Hasler (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls) received NAC Honorable Mention status Tuesday afternoon.
Collingbourne led the Raiders with 479 digs, 59 service aces and was second on the team in kills with 260. The 59 aces are the fifth most for a Raider in a single season. She was second in the NAC for service aces and sixth for digs per set (4.09). Collingbourne now stands fourth all-time at MSOE for digs (1,522) and service aces (119).
Hasler led MSOE with 352 kills and was second in service aces (48), blocks (44) and digs (396). In the NAC, Hasler finished sixth in points per set (3.65) and seventh in kills per set (3.01). She is now seventh in school history with 605 kills and 92 service aces. Hasler's 24 kills against both Lakeland (Oct. 1) and Ripon (Oct. 2) are tied for sixth in school history for a single match.
In addition to the Hasler and Collingbourne, freshman opposite hitter Mollie Zuberbier (Fond du Lac, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) was named to the NAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
MSOE finished the season 11-20 overall and 4-8 in NAC play. The Raiders won six straight matches during the end of September and early October.
