Raiders gather four victories at Tail of the Fox Regatta

The MSOE rowing team took part in the Tail of the Fox Regatta on the Fox River in DePere, Wis. Sunday and finished first in all races in which they competed. The Raiders won the heavyweight 8+ race with a time of 11:39.23, about 15 seconds ahead of the Milwaukee Rowing Club. That boat included coxswain Chelsey Morrow, stroke Jonathan Allen, Ben Lang, Devin Dolby, Dave Taylor, Erik Winer, Luke Engebretson, Mike Richter and bow Ed Adams.
MSOE took the top three spots in the open men's 4+. The winning boat recorded a time of 12:27.0 and the members were coxswain Rachel Connon, Allen at stroke, Lang, Winer and Engebretson at bow. The Raiders came in first in the lightweight men's 4+ with a mark of 12:36.9 and the novice men's 4+ at 13:25.98. The lightweight boat included Morrow at coxswain, Allen at stroke, Lang, Winer and Engebretson while the novice boat had Elizabeth Kelnhofer at coxswain, Matt Foster at stroke, Dominic Frost, Tim Urbas and Mike Dorus at bow.
The Raiders are back in action Sunday, Oct. 9 at the Head of the Rock Regatta on the Rock River in Rockford, Ill.
