MSOE hockey enters top ten of USCHO.com poll; Toomey earns MCHA weekly honor

The Raiders have moved into the top ten of the United States Collegiate Hockey Online (USCHO.com) Division III national poll as they now stand at No. 9. MSOE was ranked No. 11 in last week's poll. The Raiders split a weekend series with No. 4 Adrian at the Kern Center this past weekend. MSOE took Friday's game 3-1 and fell in Saturday's game 3-2. The Raiders are off until Nov. 22-23 when they face St. Mary's for two games in Winona, Minn.

Senior goaltender Connor Toomey was named MCHA Defensive Player of the Week. Toomey made 49 saves during the two games against Adrian for a 1.50 goals against average and logged a .945 save percentage. Toomey is fifth in the country in GAA at 1.84. MSOE is third in all of Division III in scoring defense at 1.83 goals allowed per game.

Junior Jordan Keizer leads all players nationally with three short handed goals while junior Mike Pao is tied for the lead with two game-winning goals. Senior Todd Krupa is second in the country for power play goals with three.
