MSOE men's soccer selected to finish fourth in NAC preseason poll


WAUKESHA, Wis. -- MSOE men's soccer has been picked to fourth in the Northern Athletics Conference in the 2011 preseason coaches' poll. The Raiders received 113 points just two points behind Aurora, who was picked third, and four points behind Concordia-Wisconsin for second.

MSOE was 8-3 in conference action last season with an overall record of 10-9. The Raiders have finished in the top of the NAC the past three seasons.

Dominican received 11 of 12 first-place votes as they are the favorites according to the conference's coaches. The Stars won their fifth-straight NAC titles last season.

The season gets going for MSOE against UW-Superior in Mequon, Wis. Sept. 3. MSOE's first NAC match of the season is Sept. 21 as they face Concordia-Chicago at Time Warner Cable Stadium in Milwaukee. The NAC Tournament gets underway Oct. 30 with the final schedule for Nov. 5. The winner of the conference tournament heads to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament to represent the NAC.
