Axt's goal enough for MSOE to get past Benedictine

Senior Jessica Axt scored in the 49th minute and junior Emma Lumpe made five saves as the Raiders shut out Benedictine 1-0 Saturday afternoon in Lisle, Ill. Axt now has 27 goals on the season.
No scoring took place in the first half as Axt's goal came at the 48:42 mark of the game. The assist on the tally went to freshman Shelby Struble. Axt entered the week as the national leader in goals and points. Shots favored MSOE 14-8.
The Raiders (11-7, 8-3) play their final Northern Athletics Conference regular season game Wednesday against Aurora in Milwaukee at Time Warner Cable Stadium.
