MSOE women’s volleyball ends 16-year drought; defeats Lakeland

After 16 years of futility, the MSOE Raiders women's volleyball team did something they haven't done in sixteen years; defeat Lakeland. Sophomore Stephanie Hasler logged a career-high 24 kills as the Raiders knocked off Lakeland in five sets Friday night in Sheboygan, Wis. in a NAC match. Hasler had the most kills in a match by an MSOE player since Allie Sowinski had 28 against Viterbo two years ago.

Freshman Diane Jorgenson recorded 11 kills while junior Kayla Edler had nine. Junior Kathleen Colliingbourne had 20 digs and junior Kaylie Lenz logged 12. It was the third time this season that Collingbourne recorded at least 20 digs. Senior setter Hayley McEnerney had 35 assists.

The Raiders (7-13, 2-3 NAC) face Marian and Ripon Saturday at the Kern Center in the MSOE Triangular.
