Raiders advance two boats to semis at Dad Vail Regatta

MSOE rowing is off to a great start at the Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia. The Raiders finished second in heat 7 for men's frosh/novice four with cox with a time of 7:16.41. MSOE was just over two seconds behind Rhode Island. MSOE also finished second in the fifth heat for the men's pair without cox with a mark of 7:49.22, about eight seconds off the pace of Lafayette. Those two boats will compete in the semifinals Saturday.
In the men's varsity heavyweight four with cox eighth heat, the Raiders placed third with a time of 7:12.79. For live video coverage and updated results, click here. Also, ESPN3.com will broadcast the Dad Vail Regatta from noon until 5 p.m. on Saturday. The event is the largest collegiate regatta and in its 73rd year.
