Raiders impressive in 4-1 victory over Marian

Senior forward Jordan Keizer scored twice as the MSOE hockey team knocked off Marian 4-1 Friday night at the Kern Center in Milwaukee. Freshman goalie Nick Kohn made 27 saves in the victory.
The Raiders scored two goals within 24 seconds of each other in the first period. Junior forward Steven Shaffroth found the back of the net at the 6:47 mark of the first then Keizer scored soon after to give MSOE a 2-0 lead. Shaffoth knocked in his goal on a pass from the point by senior defenseman Ryan Peterson
The lone goal in the second period was recorded by Brian Berger to pull the Sabres within one. In the third, the Raiders padded their lead as senior forward Bradley Tierney scored a one-timer. Keizer's power play goal at the 8:21 mark finished the scoring.
MSOE (7-3-1, 5-3-1 MCHA) will face Marian Saturday at 4 p.m. in Fond du Lac, Wis.
