Weborg wins triple jump at UW-Whitewater

MSOE track & field competed at UW-Whitewater Saturday and the men's squad placed second with 71 points while the women's team came in seven with 34 points.
Senior Arthur Weborg won the triple jump at 12.69 meters and came in fifth in the long jump at 6.4 meters. Sophomore Steven Grousnick finished second in the one-mile run at 4:32.72. Freshman Brian Janus came in second in the 600-meter dash with a time of 1:26.97 while junior Ben Peterson was sixth (1:29.99).
Sophomores Mike Cosentino and Matt Waech both were third in the pole vault at 4.01 meters. Cosentino tied for fourth in the high jump at 1.85 meters. Junior Jake Schneider was third (9:35.01) and sophomore Trevor Koziczkowski placed seventh (9:48.94) in the 3000-meter run.
Junior Patrick DuBois placed fourth in the weight throw at 14.8 meters. Freshman Ryan Moldenhauer was fifth in the triple jump at 12.01 meters. Senior Tim Lang came in seventh in the 60-meter hurdles at 9.35 seconds.
Senior Emily Dieringer placed third in the 60-meter hurdles at 9.81 seconds and was also third in the 200-meter dash at 27.15 seconds. Dieringer tied for fourth in the pole vault at 2.91 meters.
Senior Amanda Heller (19:40.38) and junior Holly Phelps (20:39.67) came in second and third in the 5000-meter run. Heller finished fifth in the 3000-meter run at 11:26.72. Junior Anete Zagare was 11th in the 400-meter dash at 1:09.23.
