Cording's 30 points lift MSOE men's basketball to conference win

Behind John Cording's career-best 30-point day and Michael Ricciardi’s double-double, the MSOE Raiders held off conference foe Marian 70-61 in a Saturday afternoon contest in Fond du Lac, Wis.
Sophomore guard Cording scored his 30 points on 9-for-14 shooting from the field including 4-of-5 from beyond the three-point line. Cording’s effort was not the only contribution lifting the Raiders to the win. Senior forward Ricciardi added a double-double on the day as he scored 14 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Senior guard Cynerick Osinaike added 11 points in the Northern Athletics Conference win for the Raiders.
The game was close throughout as there were 13 lead changes in the game. With 5:29 left in the game, MSOE went on a 12-4 run to give the Raiders a 66-59 lead with under two minutes to play.
MSOE hits the court Tuesday as the travel to take on Beloit in a non-conference contest. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
