THE MSOE men’s soccer team fell to the Dominican University Stars 2-1 on the Stars home turf in a Northern Athletics Conference Semifinal match. The Stars were ranked number one both the NSCAA Central Region and NCAA poll, while the Raiders were ranked ninth in the NSCAA Central Region poll.
The Stars got on the board first on a Ryan Ybarra corner kick that was put in by David Aranda at the 29-minute mark. MSOE was down until the 75th minute of play when Logan Andryk (Hartland, Wis./Marquette High School) lined a shot into the netting tying the game at one apiece. This was Andryk’s 14th goal of the season.
Similar to their first meeting, Dominican answered quickly just minutes later with the eventual game winner; a Logan Marvin touch just passed Raider’s Goalie Garrett Farin.
MSOE finishes their season at 14-5-1, the best record ever in the history of the men’s soccer program.
