Bloom's big night lifts MSOE over Maranatha

Senior guard Oren Bloom scored 20 points as the MSOE men's basketball team knocked off Maranatha Baptist 61-47 Saturday night at the Kern Center in Northern Athletics Conference action. The Raiders did not trail in the game as they grabbed the lead with an early three-pointer from Bloom and did not lose it for the rest of the game.
MSOE held the Crusaders to 28% shooting from the field for the game. Sophomore point guard John Cording scored eight points, grabbed five rebounds, dished out five assists and did not turn the ball over for the Raiders. Freshman guard Garrison Glowniak knocked down two big three-pointers in the second half to help keep MSOE on top.
The Raiders (2-4, 1-1 NAC) host Aurora Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Milwaukee.
