Cording's career-high helps Raiders take down Aurora

Sophomore guard John Cording scored a career-high 25 points as the MSOE men's basketball team defeated Aurora 72-55 Wednesday night at the Kern Center in Milwaukee. For the Raiders, it was their first victory over the Spartans in over three years.
Cording went 4-4 from three-point range in the first half as MSOE took a 32-24 lead into halftime. For the game, he went 13-16 from the free-throw line. In the second half, Aurora took the lead 33-32 with 18:25 left in the game. However, the Raiders would pull away with a 30-8 run later in the half to go up by 22. MSOE held Aurora to 29% shooting from the field for the game.
Senior guard Cynerick Osinaike was also in double figures with 14 points while senior guard Oren Bloom had nine points and six rebounds. Senior forward Michael Ricciardi put in eight points and pulled down eight rebounds. Off the bench, freshman guard Jeremiah Erdmann knocked down two three-pointers.
MSOE (3-4, 2-1 NAC) heads to Fond du Lac, Wis. Saturday to face Marian at 4:15 p.m.
