Raiders outscore Hamline 5-0

Behind a Raider offense that touted goals from five different players,  MSOE skated away with the non-conference victory over Hamline in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota.

Captain Jordan Keizer got on the board for MSOE 11:37 in the first period off passes from Casey Moneer and Devin Schmitt.  In the second period, Moneer scored the Raiders second tally off a Ryan Peterson pass with just under four minutes remaining in the stanza.

The Raiders added three more goals in the third period to put the game on ice. Two minutes into the period, West Bauman and Nathan Brunk helped Logan Bauman to MSOE's third goal of the game. Brad Tierney and Kevin Medina rounded out the Raiders scoring for the game.

The Raiders went 2-4 on power play goals, while Hamline went 0-3 in power play opportunities. MSOE outshot the Hamline Pipers 25-23  with Nick Kohn going the distance in the goal for the Raiders, collecting the shutout.

MSOE (9-3-1 ) complete their Minnesota non-conference trek on Saturday when they face the St. John ’s University Johnnies (5-4-1) in St. Paul, Minn. Game time is a 2:00p.m. start.
