MSOE men's cross country places second at Private College invite

Led by sophomore Steven Grousnik who finished fifth, the Raiders men's squad came in second at the Wisconsin Private College Championships in La Crosse, Wis. Saturday. Grousnik recorded a time of 27:39.5 in the 8K event.
Also placing in the top ten was sophomore Trevor Koziczkowski who came in tenth with a mark of 27:52.8. Right behind Koziczkowski in 11th was junior Jake Schneider at 28:12.6. Sophomore Terrence Norris finished with a time of 28:19.3 for the 13th spot while senior Matt Coursey placed 16th at 28:24.5.
On the women's side, MSOE finished sixth out of 11 teams at the 6K event. The top finisher for the Raiders was junior Holly Phelps in 17th place with a mark of 25:45.4. Less than four seconds behind Phelps was senior Amanda Heller in the 17th spot.
The Northern Athletics Conference Championships are Saturday, Oct. 29 in Kenosha, Wis.
